Awareness Test

Test Your Awareness

Here is a video that I use occasionally when facilitating intergroup dialogues.

I really like the video because I see it as a sort of fun, not necessarily threatening, yet still challenging way to open up communication about privilege and conflict that can exist between individuals, groups, and systems in terms of the issues, voices and experiences that we include, as well as those we leave out because of where we are focusing our attention.

It’s short and to the point, and I love the message. A great piece to add to your toolkit.

I'm a Social Justice Educator and Aspiring Humanitarian who is interested in conflict resolution, improving intergroup relations, and building more equitable and inclusive communities. "Notes from an Aspiring Humanitarian" is my blog, where I write about issues of diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice. By exploring social identities through written word, film & video, and other forms of media, I hope to continue to expand and enrich conversations about social issues that face our society, and to find ways to take social action while encouraging others to do so as well in their own ways.
