Health inequities are differences in health that are avoidable, unfair and unjust. They are created, and are reflective of larger oppressive systems that operate in our society such as white supremacy, capitalism, patriarchy, and others. It took a targeted, intentional approach to create these disparities, and it will take a targeted, intentional approach that is focused on equity to reduce health disparities, and ultimately end them.
