Some newer websites and blogs may have a fix for this issue already, but if your theme doesn’t support responsive video embeds, follow the instructions in this article from ALX Media.
I added the code to my files over the weekend, and am very happy with the results. For some examples, check out this note on helping boys challenge sexism, this note on stop & frisk policy in New York, and this one on the ways women are often portrayed as damsels in distress in video games. For a full-width page example, note how the video of Nelson Mandela stretches across the screen on this page.
After adding the code, your videos should be able to take up the content width of whatever page container they are in without spilling over to other content, and should also change in size in proportion to the size of the screen visitors may be using when they arrive at your site.
Change the size of the window in your browser, or switch devices to watch the responsiveness in action.
Visit the article, get the code and try it out for yourself.
